## The Importance of the NEN 3140 Standard

The NEN 3140 standard (Nederlandse Norm 3140) is the Dutch national standard for the safe use of electrical equipment. For test benches, this certification is critically important as these machines operate with high current loads and rotating parts. The inspection performed by Stremtec ensures that:

1. **Protection Against Electric Shock:** Adequate grounding, insulation, and touch protection measures are in place.

2. **Mechanical Safety:** Protective covers for moving parts (e.g., belts, pulleys) are correctly installed and secured.

3. **Emergency Stop Systems:** Emergency stop buttons and mechanisms are functional and easily accessible.

4. **Documentation:** The technical documentation belonging to the machine is up-to-date and available.

Obtaining the successful NEN 3140 certificate is essential for complying with workplace safety regulations and meeting insurance requirements.
